Poncho Sanchez - Live At Hollywood (2012)
While some artists bounce at the first sign of trouble in the music business, Sanchez is that rare breed that appreciates the faith the label showed in his prolific talent back when he was signed to a one year deal some thirty years ago. This live set opens with a blistering tune "Promenade" and is followed up with a Poncho Sanchez medley at the urging of his music director Francisco Torres. Sanchez pays tribute to keyboardist, composer and arranger Clare Fischer who was instrumental in Sanchez getting his first record deal. Poncho Sanchez also pays fitting tribute to percussionist Mongo Santamaria with a high octane foot to the floor reharm of "Afro Blue." There are some pleasant surprises along the way including the blues classic "Crosscut Saw" and closing out with some smoldering salsa in "Son Son Charari."

Randy Plaza - Legacia De La Salsa (2009)
Sparkling dance-club salsa from Puerto Rico that has a lot going for it. The alternating singers are Hector Rey, Jaime "Megui" Rivera, and Mannix Martinez. Bataola - Ya Se Formo El Vacilon (2009)
